Prince Albert, SK. Aug, 2002- If the progress of Extreme Pita is any indication of things to come, one thing is for sure, it is good to be healthy! When the Extreme Pita opened its doors for the first time in 1997, it couldn't keep up with the demands of the market for their fresh, healthy and extremely tasty pita. Now in 2002, Extreme Pita has over 62 stores across Canada and one of the newest stores is rolling pitas at lightning speed. The Extreme Pita in Prince Albert hasn't even been open for a month and is already the number one store in Canada, bringing in more people in their first week than most stores do in a month, and there is no sign of business slowing down.

Owners Karen and Dwayne Gillies set out to search for a business opportunity that reflected their personal interest and lifestyles, once they discovered Extreme Pita they knew that this is what they had been looking for the entire time. The Extreme Pita's concept is simple; provide customers with an alternative to traditional fast food restaurants. Extreme Pita is healthy, fresh and fast. Extreme Pita is committed to catering to active lifestyles, they offer a wide variety of pitas to choose from and 23 pitas with 4 grams of fat or less, there is something for everyone, they are so full of flavour there is no room for fat. Health is important to everyone and the product is something that the customer can dictate. At Extreme Pita we proudly create our pitas and display our fresh produce right in front of our customers. After all, when you use such quality products, why not show them off?

The Extreme Pita offers the premium benefits of fast food such as affordability and convenience. However, unlike traditional fast food, Extreme Pita's product provides more freshness and greater taste. The vibrant and energetic décor is very comfortable allowing for a very relaxing healthy meal.
