Extreme Pita Grand Opening Celebration Huge Success

North County residents, Brett Weiss & Howard Weiss of Speedy Restaurants, LLC opened the first San Diego Extreme Pita restaurant this past April in Clairemount Mesa. The restaurant is located at 4898 Convoy Street in the new Dixieline Retail site.

The Grand Opening celebration held Friday and Saturday, June 17th and 18th offered all pitas sandwiches at half price, along with free prizes being raffled off throughout the celebration. Former San Diego Charger, Vencie Glenn was also on hand to sign autographs for excited fans during Saturday's event.

"The event was a huge success, customers just kept coming in and for 4 straight hours there was a line out the door," said employee Jackie Walters.

Store owner Brett Weiss attributes the restaurants success to the large variety of great tasting healthy menu options. "People are tired of the same old thing. They are looking for something new and healthy that they can feel good about eating."

With 10 pitas on the menu that have 5 grams of fat or less, the customer enjoys great tasting food with half the fat.

Brett Weiss and Howard Weiss bought the Extreme Pita master franchisee rights for San Diego and Orange County this year. They are negotiating to open a second San Diego location, and hope dozens more open in the next decade.
